alec andrade (gemacht.)
a yarn prayer bracelet tied around my wrist by a buddhist nun in an ancient khmer temple. a larger-than-expected city from the sky and from up close. a floating village on a lake of brown water. the wonderfully ornate peaks of buildings. the eerie prison rooms where genocide took place. the process of making silk. a nocturnal stroll in sensual siem reap. this kingdom is a visual feast of deep contrasts. and when that bracelet falls off, a wish made there comes true.
on location: phnom penh from above. royal palace, silver pagoda, national museum and tuol sleng genocide museum (phnom penh). banteay srei, angkor thom, ta prohm, tonlé sap lake floating village, private residence, lum orng restaurant and angkor silk farm (siem reap province). siem reap at night.
