in dtla there are objects to adore at every turn, some more famous than others, all having had their moment in the pop cult imagination, all of them aging props from our idolatry theater. whether high- or low-brow, there are almost no distinctions between what we choose to revere as long as we all participate. and this collective fixation is what our city is built upon.
