LUANG PRABANG

i spend four glorious days in this quaint and peaceful city by the mekong in landlocked laos, a place rich with tradition, at once gilded and modest. what has been built here is a forthright display of a deeply authentic culture, as venerable as the natural beauty around it.

on location: haw pha bang, wat xienthong, royal carriage house, wat mai, khaiphaen restaurant, mount phousi (luang prabang peninsula). seasonal bamboo bridge (nam khan river). sang ha distillery, chanthasarn silk shop, kuang si waterfalls, chomphet (along the mekong river). (JAN 23-27 2020)
