PODS POSTMODERN

it looks like a unicorn in the foreground, and in the background the bonaventure is pasted like scenery, a cue that visual stories are routinely crafted here by anyone with a phone. i'm in a quintessential LA hot spot, the rooftop, surrounded by striped and gridded giants. but i'm almost alone today, like in a canyon, and don't need to lounge in one of the pods to feel sheltered from this overexposure. but i do wonder what they look like from the sidewalk, these red peaks that match my frames.      (SEPT 15 2019)
