NO PLACE LIKE ____

as the dark days start to brighten, the world has the whiff of renewal. you have managed to fill these days with escapism and routine, all of it condensed to what's just outside your door, just a few blocks down the street, within the five square miles of the city you call home. this world, which has been the world for many months, is the purest source of happiness and pleasure. a pleasure found only in the pared-down life, drawn from threads of ordinary moments. a focus on the few things that matter. a steady moving forward. repetition. ritual.

there is no place like that which is timebound. (BEYOND THE DARK DAYS 2020)
